Through a collaboration between Tieto, Tromb and the IT security company Verisec, which is behind the e-identification service Freja eID, Solo Reset is being launched – a cloud-based e-service in the form of a self-service portal for password recovery. Freja eID guarantees that the identity is absolute, enabling secure self-service.

Solo Reset is an e-service that is primarily aimed at large organizations where, at present, they are manually and in many steps helping employees to recover forgotten passwords, which is both time-consuming and expensive. With Solo Reset connected to the organization’s Active Directory, the directory service which manages users and passwords within the organization, employees can instead reset the password to their work email on their own. The only password recovery tool required is a mobile phone with internet access and the electronic identity Freja eID.

Freja eID is available in three levels of trust, of which the higher Freja eID+ is Sweden’s only mobile e-ID that has been reviewed and approved for the governmental quality mark Svensk e-legitimation. Thus, organizations that connect to Solo Reset can choose that level of trust in Freja eID which corresponds to their needs. The software and service company Tieto, together with IT developer Tromb, are integrators of Solo Reset, through the e-identification service Freja eID the users of this e-service are provided with reliable identities, which is the foundation for security in the self-service portal Solo Reset.

Johan Henrikson, CEO Verisec comments:
”Solo Reset provides convenience for the staff and cost savings for the business. To achieve this, Freja eID and the securely validated identity is central to enabling password recovery with reliable self-service. The self-service portal Solo Reset is open around the clock, providing a high return on the investment as organizations eliminate downtime and productivity losses while unburdening their internal IT support.”
