ELECTRONIC SIGNATURES
SIMPLE, SAFE AND LEGALLY BINDING
Freja eID can be used for electronic signing directly or through supporting independent signature services, for example those of trusted service providers.
In the case of direct signatures, the user signs text and optional binary data on their mobile device using keys and certificates issued by Freja eID. This scenario is mostly applicable for transaction text confirmation.
In cases of document signing, for example to produce advanced electronic signatures, Freja eID can easily be integrated with signature service providers.
Freja eID is integrated either through native APIs or through its Identity Provider. In this case, the user signature produced on the Freja eID mobile device approves the usage of keys and certificates, hosted by a trusted service provider, to sign one or more documents on behalf of the end user.
The user approves legally binding electronic signatures with PIN or biometry in the Freja eID app.
SIGNATURE REQUESTS THAT CAN LAST UP TO 30 DAYS
You can send a request for approval – with an electronic signature – where the user has a certain number of days to sign it. The maximum time you can give the user is 30 days. This feature means that you can send a signature request to the user even though the user isn’t actively engaged or logged in with your service at the time of the request. The request for signature is awaiting the user’s approval in the Freja eID app’s action list.
