The IT security company Verisec, in collaboration with the integration partner Svensk e-identitet AB, has signed agreements with Internetstiftelsen, Alfa Kommun and Landsting AB, Nacka municipality and Sandviken municipality. These now become relying parties in the e-identification service Freja eID, which gives users access to the organizations’ respective e-services.

Nacka municipality, Sandviken municipality, Alfa Kommun and Landsting AB and Internetstiftelsen give their users access to their services via an independent e-identification service with Freja eID. Freja eID is available in different levels of trust to cover different needs and Freja eID+, which has the level of trust required for access to public e-services, is the only mobile e-ID in Sweden that has been approved for the governmental quality mark Svensk e-legitimation. Svensk e-identitet has, among other things, previously integrated the service Spelpaus.se with Freja eID.

Jörgen Hellgren CEO Svensk e-identitet comments:
“If Sweden is to achieve the government’s goal with the digitization strategy, then new independent issuers of Swedish eID is required. Verisec has done a fantastic job with Freja eID+ and we are happy to help with the spread. For example, in the veterinary business in Sweden, the entire industry is dependent on Freja, as this is the only method that works for veterinarians when they are going to handle prescriptions from November 2019.”

Johan Henrikson, CEO Verisec comments:
“Svensk e-identitet AB was one of the first partners to offer companies, authorities and system suppliers connection to Freja eID. Our collaboration has now resulted in another four organizations becoming part of the Freja eID platform and in order to achieve our goal of offering relevant services for Freja eID’s users, partnerships like these are absolutely crucial.”
