At the Plus level, which is approved for the governmental quality mark Svensk e-legitimation, an ID Protection is included. The service is free and is available to persons with a Swedish personal identity number and who are registered in the Swedish Population Register.
The service informs the user if someone changes his or hers registered address, special postal address, or adds an additional address.
The SPAR database is updated the night after each weekday with data from the Swedish Population Register.
Freja eID Plus users get their data checked against the SPAR database after each registered update.If something has changed, the user will receive a message about this in the morning via the app and via the e-mail addresses the user has linked to his or her Freja eID account.This gives the user the opportunity to act quickly and to avert the ID theft – one of Sweden’s most common frauds, often initiated with an unauthorized change of address.
